What is fabfoodpix?
We are an image library and photography studio specialising
in high quality food & drink related photography. Our images
are sold on the basis of image size / resolution. See our price
guide for details. You can order by using our secure server
and you then receive the images by downloading them from our server
using your Internet browser. The best way to explore our images
is to use this web site. We also offer a free search service.
Just contact
one of our staff to discuss your requirements and we will do our
best to find the image(s) that you need. We are also able to custom
shoot images to your requirements.
How do I order an image?
1. First use our search facility to find images
that you are interested in. Either type in a search term in the
search field box in the top right of the display and click 'GO',
or select a popular search term from the 'Select a food category'
drop-down menu beneath this. If you already know the image code
(e.g. F001065) you can enter this in the image code search
box below the search term search box in the main menu on the right.
2. The search will show results as a range of thumbnail
images. If the search yields no results please check your
spelling and try another related term. Or contact
us to enquire as to whether we have a suitable image. We are
constantly adding new images to our database and may have the
image you require. Alternatively we can custom shoot images for
you to your exact specifications. Contact
us for more information.
3. Click on a thumbnail image to view a larger version of the image. At any time you can click on the 'buy' link against an image you see to be taken through to an order page.
4. Clicking on a 'buy' link will take you through to a
page where you must specify what resolution/size of image you
require. You must agree to to the fabfoodpix.com

you have added all your required images to the shopping basket.

How much does each image cost?
Please see our prices page for details.
Can I buy exclusive rights to an image?
Please contact fabfoodpix to discuss any particular requirements that you may have.
How do I find what I am looking for?
Use the search facility in the top right of the display:
Type in a keyword such as 'bread' and then click the 'GO' button or:
if you know the image code (e.g. F000154) then enter that in the lower search box and then click the 'GO' button
The results for each particular search are displayed in the main window to the left as a series of 'thumbnails'. Click on one of these to view a larger version of the image.
additionally:
When you are viewing a large image version, to the right are a list of other keywords which also describe that image. By clicking on one of these you then activate a search for that particular term. This way of exploring our images enables you to find images through related themes or subjects - often useful if you are not sure exactly what you are looking for and are interested in browsing the different subject matter available.
You can also select a popular search term from the 'Find Food' drop-down menu below the search box.
How do I download an image for using in my
design layout?
Right-click (Windows) or CTRL + click (Mac) on the image until
a menu appears. Select 'Download Image to Disk' or 'Copy Image'
(or similar) and then either select a location on your hard drive
to store the image or paste the image into another programme.
We advise you to keep the image's file name the same so that if
you need to contact us at a later date we will be able to locate
the image you are enquiring about.
How do I download images I have paid for?
Once your order and payment is received our staff will e-mail you with instructions on how to download your images. You simply click on a link contained within the e-mail where you will be taken to a download page. We endeavour to provide you with access to your images as soon as possible during the same working day but please allow for local time zone differences and normal office working hours.
Can I choose to have my images e-mailed to me instead of downloading them from your web server?
We do not send images by e-mail as this is often an unreliable way of transmitting files. If you experience any problems with downloading your images please contact us.
I need a larger image for a presentation,
is this possible?
Yes. Please contact
fabfoodpix directly to discuss any special requirements which
may not be available from our web site.
What is a lightbox?
The lightbox is where you can save a collection of your favourite fabfoodpix images for future reference. You can also e-mail your lightbox to other colleagues or friends.
How does the lightbox work?
This works by storing the details locally on your computer's disk, using what is known as a 'cookie'. Provided your browser has cookies enabled and you log on using the same computer you can access your lightbox every time you return to the web site. If you want to make sure you don't lose your lightbox information or you want to send it to another person, (or to another computer that you use), you can send the lightbox via e-mail. How can I save my different lightbox configurations?
Collect your images together into your lightbox then e-mail it to yourself. The lightbox will arrive in your e-mail box both as an attached HTML file and in most cases it will also be displayed within the body of the e-mail itself (depending upon your e-mail software). If your e-mail software does not support HTML and is not visible within the e-mail body then you need to open the attachment using a web browser. NB: You must be on-line in order to view the images in your lightbox.
How do I send my lightbox as an e-mail to
another person?
• go to MY LIGHTBOX
• click on ' E-mail the Above Images to Someone '
• fill in the name, e-mail address and message
areas of the form
• before sending it, ensure that you have selected all the
images that you wish to be included, by checking/unchecking the
box under each thumbnail
• click 'Send Images'
Why have my lightbox images disappeared?
This may be because:
You have accessed the web site from a different computer
(the lightbox is stored locally on your own computer)
You are using a different web browser
Your web browser settings have been changed to no
longer accept cookies
Your web browser's cookies'
file has been cleared
